Kuwaiti summers are unforgiving on the skin — and laser hair removal, done thoughtfully, becomes even more important. Here is how our laser team prepares clients through the hotter months.
Sun exposure and laser: the honest answer
The concern isn't summer itself — it's tanned skin. A recent tan raises the risk of pigmentation change after laser, because the laser targets melanin.
We ask that you avoid direct, unprotected sun on treatment areas for at least two weeks before your session. Daily SPF 50 is non-negotiable.
The 48-hour rule
Shave — do not wax or epilate — the area 24 to 48 hours before your appointment. The hair root must remain in the follicle for the laser to work.
Skip retinoids and exfoliating acids for three days on either side of your session.
Aftercare that actually matters
Cool the area with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid hot showers, gym sessions, and sauna for 24 hours.
SPF 50 on any exposed area, every day, without exception, for the full course of your treatment.
“The best summer laser results come from clients who protect their skin as diligently as they book their sessions.”— Noura Al-Mutairi
Three things to remember
- Avoid tanning two weeks before every session.
- Shave, don't wax, 24–48 hours prior.
- SPF 50 daily is part of the treatment, not optional.
