A calm guide to Botox

Botox has quietly become one of the most requested treatments at Aria — and yet, for most first-time guests, it still arrives wrapped in myths. This is our unhurried, doctor-written guide to what actually happens, and how to decide whether it is right for you.

Section 01

What Botox actually does

Botox is a purified protein that gently relaxes the small facial muscles responsible for expression lines — the horizontal forehead lines, the vertical '11s' between the brows, and the fine fan of lines around the eyes.

Used well, it softens movement without freezing it. Your expressions remain your own; they simply arrive with less crease.

Section 02

The appointment itself

A first visit lasts around 30 minutes. Fifteen of those are conversation: your history, your concerns, and — importantly — what you would like to avoid.

The injections themselves take under five minutes. Most guests describe them as a series of quick, warm pinpricks. There is no downtime; many return to work immediately.

Section 03

When you'll see results

Botox is gradual by design. Softening begins around day three, with the full result visible at two weeks. We book a complimentary review at day 14 to fine-tune, at no extra cost.

Results typically last three to four months. With consistent, considered treatment, lines etched by years of movement begin to soften even between sessions.

Done well, Botox should be invisible. People shouldn't notice you've had it — only that you look rested.

The takeaway

Three things to remember

  • Botox relaxes expression muscles; it does not fill lines.
  • Expect a natural result at two weeks, not on the day.
  • A complimentary review is included in every first Botox visit at Aria.
